How does this rum taste?
The S.B.S Thailand 2016 is a distinctive rum distilled in 2016 using a Column Still and aged for six years, bottled at 55% ABV by 1423 World Class Spirits. With only 283 bottles produced, this limited-release rum offers aromatics of caramel, vanilla, and subtle woodiness. Tasting notes reveal caramelized flavors, vegetal nuances, and a fresh finish, reflecting a striking resemblance to Panamanian style rums. Cognoscenti and newcomers alike appreciate its sweet yet somewhat simplistic profile, echoed by a mild yet spirited finish. While it offers an intriguing foray into Thai rum, opinions vary on its complexity and balance, making it a subject of interest for rum enthusiasts eager to explore new origins.

It's not a real hit, but once again something nice and unusual. Nice for sipping in between, but unfortunately nothing more. Reasonable price though. In comparison, I like the FRC Thailand better. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to try it as a blender yet.
Good column still rum. Nice round nose and also tasty. A little rough and edgy in the mouth. EDIT: Once again compared with the FRC ... I have to correct this down again.
Not bad at all, not to say: pleasant surprise. As Andi wrote here, the rum has a very present Panamá impression, you think you have a Spanish-style rum in front of you. If you like the style, you can make a relaxing evening with this Easy Sipper. Why not a kind of "style imitation" at a very good PLV and successfully integrated alcohol?I assume that Thai aged rum is on the rise and we can still expect a lot from the country.
Significantly better than the SBS Thailand with Moscatel wine cask finish. Could pass blind as a rather young Belize or Antigua rum. It has a very Spanish feel with lots of caramel, coconut, chocolate and some herbs. However, I find the FRC Thailand much better overall!
