“Ein spannender Rum, mit intensiven Aromen! Irgendwie aus zwei verschiedenen Welten, einerseits Agricole, andererseits mehr Richtung Melasse. Das Wechselspiel zwischen Frucht, Pflanzlichen Aromen und Gewürzen sorgt für ein Erlebnis auf der Zunge. Je länger er verweilt und vor allem im Abgang kommt die Agricole-Note hervor. Gefällt mir ganz gut”

“Richtig umwerfende Barazil-Rums hatte ich jetzt noch nicht im Glas. Hier finde ich besonders die 6-Jahre-Reifung im Amburana-Fass interessant… Nase: kräftig und intensiv. Anfangs schneidet der Alkohol doch etwas. Mir fällt sofort eine angenehme, volle Tabak-Note auf, alter Pfeifentabak. Dazu auch sehr holzig, aber nicht bitter, sondern eher trockenes, duftendes Zedernholz. An Frucht finde ich getrocknete Aprikose, roten Apfel, Brombeere und etwas schwarze Johannisbeere. Etwas Vanille und roter Pfeffer runden die schöne Nase ab. Erinnert mich ein wenig an den New Grove Acacia. 8,3 Gaumen: die Nase setzt sich auch am Gaumen fort. Für mich überwiegt Zigarrentabak. Dazu salzig-bitter-holzig mit getrockneter Aprikose, Brombeere und schwarzer Johannisbeere. Etwas roter Pfeffer und altes Zimtpulver geben Würze. Er ist kräftig und hat ein schönes Volumen. 8,1 Ich muss sagen, dass ich angenehm überrascht bin. Ich mag diese kräftigen Duftholz-Aromen aus mal etwas anderen Holzfässern als üblich. Die intensive Tabak-Note mit der feinen Frucht ist eine schöne Mischung. Guter Brasilianer!”
