„Ein spannender Rum, mit intensiven Aromen! Irgendwie aus zwei verschiedenen Welten, einerseits Agricole, andererseits mehr Richtung Melasse. Das Wechselspiel zwischen Frucht, Pflanzlichen Aromen und Gewürzen sorgt für ein Erlebnis auf der Zunge. Je länger er verweilt und vor allem im Abgang kommt die Agricole-Note hervor. Gefällt mir ganz gut“

„Richtig umwerfende Barazil-Rums hatte ich jetzt noch nicht im Glas. Hier finde ich besonders die 6-Jahre-Reifung im Amburana-Fass interessant… Nase: kräftig und intensiv. Anfangs schneidet der Alkohol doch etwas. Mir fällt sofort eine angenehme, volle Tabak-Note auf, alter Pfeifentabak. Dazu auch sehr holzig, aber nicht bitter, sondern eher trockenes, duftendes Zedernholz. An Frucht finde ich getrocknete Aprikose, roten Apfel, Brombeere und etwas schwarze Johannisbeere. Etwas Vanille und roter Pfeffer runden die schöne Nase ab. Erinnert mich ein wenig an den New Grove Acacia. 8,3 Gaumen: die Nase setzt sich auch am Gaumen fort. Für mich überwiegt Zigarrentabak. Dazu salzig-bitter-holzig mit getrockneter Aprikose, Brombeere und schwarzer Johannisbeere. Etwas roter Pfeffer und altes Zimtpulver geben Würze. Er ist kräftig und hat ein schönes Volumen. 8,1 Ich muss sagen, dass ich angenehm überrascht bin. Ich mag diese kräftigen Duftholz-Aromen aus mal etwas anderen Holzfässern als üblich. Die intensive Tabak-Note mit der feinen Frucht ist eine schöne Mischung. Guter Brasilianer!“

„Für mich der erste Brasilianer, den ich pur probiere. Dementsprechend bin ich ohne Erwartung in die Verkostung gegangen und wurde positiv überrascht. Anfangs noch eine alkoholische Schärfe in der Nase, überraschen mich ziemlich schnell Noten von Zimt, Tabak und unreifen Johannisbeeren. Begleitet werden die würzigen, pflanzlichen und fruchtigen Noten von einer Holznote. Am Gaumen überwiegen die schon bekannten Noten aus der Nase. Leider breitet sich, anfangend an der Zungenspitze, eine unangenehme Schärfe auf der Zunge aus. Der mittellange Nachklang endet in Tabakaromen sowie eine leicht holzige Komponente. Eine überaus interessante Premiere, die mir sehr gut gefallen hat. Vermutlich wären noch 0.1 oder 0.2 Punkte mehr drin gewesen, wenn da nicht die störende Schärfe gewesen wäre.“

„Interessant vor allem weil irgendwie anders. Viel Zimt in der Nase. Dann am Gaumen schön fruchtig aber auch ordentlich Zigarre. Mir fast etwas zuviel. Relativ trocken aber nie langweilig. Vielleicht Nicht überragend aber definitiv eine Rum-Reise wert. Brasilien kann nicht nur Cachaca 👍“

„Irgendwie Geil ! Erinnert mich stark an einen gut gereiften Martinique Agricole und hat gleichzeitig diese Cachaca Note. Zum mixen ist das ein Wahnsinnsrumm - zum Pur-Trinken macht sich leider der starke Cumarinanteil negativ bemerkbar, indem er den Mund betäubt, bringt aber geichzeitig ein paar richtig krasse Aromen in den Rhum.( Cumarin ist einer der Hauptaromastoffe in Waldmeister, Zimt und Tonkabohne - welche sich hier wunderbar rausschmecken lassen) Im Crosstasting mit ein paar cachacas habe ich noch so richtig Terpentin herausgeschmeckt, das musste ich hier noch ergänzen - echt spannend ! Ich finde ein super Experiment und ein schöner Rhum zum mischen zu einem echt guten PLV. Als Mixer kriegt er von mir >90 Punkte, als Trinken war die erste Zahl in meinem Kopf ne 75 kann mir aber gut vorstellen, dass er bei Agricoleliebhabern in der Range des Rumclub Depaz bewertet wird,wenn das exotische Cumarinaroma vom Amburanaholz, mit dem Betäubungseffekt das nicht zu sehr runter zieht.“

„Bestimmt ein ganz besonderer Rum mit vielen Aromen die ich so noch nicht kannte oder nicht üblich sind. Daher eine tolle Komplexität. Aber auch eine gewisse Strenge und alkoholische Note. Fasseinfluss sehr krass. Holt mich nicht 100% ab. Am Gaumen sehr viel Pfeffer. Definitiv spannend. Edit: zweite Verkostung Outdoor 30grad 15min im Glas: die Nase super geil da sie blumig wird. Wie ein Parfüm. Alkohol auch am Gaumen weg. Immer noch würzig. Tolle Komplexität. Vielleicht hol ich doch noch eine Flasche.“

„Die Nase kommt mir irgendwie bekannt vor, komm aber nicht drauf. Tolle Balance zwischen Zimt,roten - und Zitrusfrüchten und edlem Fass, top. Der erste Schluck war schon heftig, sehr scharfkantig, astringent,viel Fass umgeben von Früchten und Zimt. Erinnert an Agricole, der Alkohol könnte besser integriert sein. Interessantes Experiment.“
