“Verkostet zusammen mit dem Rumclub Hampden 1990 (RX14100) Die Farbe unterscheidet sich nicht. Die Nase ist herrlich fruchtig und hier geringfügig fruchtiger als der Rumclub, welcher eine Nuance mehr Joghurt/Butter hat. Der Rumclub ist auch ein wenig intensiver. Insgesamt sehr einladend und unkompliziert ohne die Brachialität jüngerer Abfüllungen. Der Rumclub ist hier mit mehr Komplexität um eine Nasenlänge voraus. Am Gaumen hat der Rumclub etwas speckiges/rauchiges, was der RA nicht hat. Der RA dann wieder mit schönem Übergang von intensiver Frucht in Richtung Salzlake und Oliven - gefällt mir ausgezeichnet! Auch am Gaumen ist der Rumclub eine Spur komplexer. Im Nachklang kehren die Früchte wieder zurück und bleiben seeeehr lange. Ein wenig Fasseinfluss ist da aber im keiner Relation zur langen Zeit im Fass. Der RA erscheint mir im direkten Vergleich weniger komplex und damit süffiger. Diese lange kontinental gereiften Hampden sind schon was tolles, Sie schaffen es mit Leichtigkeit ihn wahres Alter zu verbergen, da ist nirgends zu viel Holz oder gar Bitterkeit. Aber wenn man genau hinschaut, bemerkt man wie rund die Zeit im Fass die einstigen Ecken und Kanten der Jugend gemacht hat.”
