This is a simple rum, very shy nose and a sweet palate. I get chocolate, cream, some spicyness (but not anything sharp), and a bit of wood. Unfortunately this does not show if grapia wood does influence in a special way... Such experiments would be better with a sample of the juice from the original cask, but Ferrand did not provide such an opportunity.
