A rum which I have known for a long time and super reliable. Nose is spicy and woody but hints at what is to come. The mouth is a bit one dimensional but there is enough interesting going on to keep me intrigued - leather, spice and some burnt butterscotch. Finish is long with spice and nutmeg alongside barrel influence and leather. It’s one of the best in terms of non dosed distilleries in Central America and versatile across cocktails and straight up. Super solid Spanish style rum

My current favourite. Smells like a fruity honey with vanilla and toffee. Tastes light and sweet and is quite mouthwatering. Not as smooth as some other rums, but not harsh. Obviously not as sweet as sugared rums, but not bitter and no raw wood flavour. On the taste I get warm barrel spices, especially vanilla and nutmeg. The finish is short to medium, not much flavour...a bit nutty, but again quite mouthwatering. It makes me want to sip again rather quickly. Although I know that it's probably not the "best" rum I own, it's still my favourite.

Really fine rum, not very special but enough for a good sipping rum. Light floral nose, not a overly sweet taste (No added sugar?), taste a little bit like a whisky. Aftertaste short to medium long.

On the nose, I can feel some caramel, vanilla, and banana. The taste is very smooth some hints of vanilla and almost like bourbon. I will have rated higher but the aftertaste was a bit alcoholic for me.
