Ein gut gemachter Blend mit erstaunlich angenehmen eingebundenem Alkohol! Die Fruchtnoten obsiegen bei dem zu erwartenden Ester-Aromen! Man kann ihn pur mit Zeste und als Mixer hervorragend einsetzen. Eine gelungene Abfüllung
#4158 If you're expecting an ester bomb you're going to be disappointed. The esters are there just kind of taking the rear seat on this one. Very fruity with nice floral notes. The palate is warm and medium dry and the finish is long. Nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass has some medicinal notes (maybe iodine) to it.
Un blend plutôt raffiné malgré les 75°. Bien sûr, on sent qu'on n'est pas sur une réduction à 45°. Pas de doutes sur la provenance, mais on n'est pas sur une bombe aux esters. C'est plus subtil et très parfumé.
Un assemblage de rhums jamaïcains qui se veut subtil et discret pour son taux d’alcool. Le nez est tout de même assez timide malgré les notes phénoliques et fruitées typiques de la Jamaïque. En bouche, on retrouve un rhum étonnamment discret. L’ensemble est très maîtrisé et on ne soupçonne pas les 75%. Le profil est volontairement sur un niveau d’esters assez bas, ce qui le rend bien moins aromatique qu’il ne laisse présager. La finale reste sur la même lignée. Nulle explosivité ou artifice, on est sur un produit qui se veut davantage raffiné et élégant que sur un profil extrême, et c’est ce qui peut le rendre malheureusement un peu terne s’il est laissé pur dans le verre. Loin d’être un mauvais jus, c’est un rhum qui recherche davantage l’équilibre que l’exubérance et qui brillera en mixologie. Il aurait été intéressant de faire un blend avec tous les marks les plus élevés pour obtenir un profil vraiment poussé à l’extrême.
