Schwer zuzuordnen dieser Rum. Hat irgendwie eine leichte Süss finde ich, geht so Richtung Schokolade und Nuss. Im Abgang ist er aberbleicht bitter. Kann man bestimmt sehr gut mit Cola trinken, ansonsten Durchschnitt.
Joa... Dinge die die Welt nicht braucht. Holz Chips infused sherry flavoured spiced rum oder was soll das sein? Extrem lasch und Künstlich wirkend, hat fast was von gerösteten Marshmallows.... Für mich ein reines Marketing Produkt was hoffentlich nicht weiter Fuß fassen wird.... Lasst Rum bitte einfach auf normale Weise reifen und hört auf hier irgendwelche Pseudo Experimente zu machen. Danke an Torben @empirebrickofgin fürs sample aber das hier geht gar nicht! 🥲
Bitte vorher lesen was genau das hier ist (siehe Anmerkungen im Eintrag). Die Nase ist sehr würzig, hat hauptsächlich Trockenfrüchte und einen gewaltigen Batzen teures Holz und Sherry. Am Gaumen vergleichsweise dünn und kühl. Enorm mild, und speziell nach 10 Minuten Luft gänzlich frei von strenger alkoholischer Schärfe - wirkt hier eher warm und gibt ihm etwas mehr Volumen. Geschmacklich wird's sehr sherrylastig. Kakao und schokoladige Süße. Reifer, trockener Obstkorb und ja, tatsächlich einiges an Holz. Insgesamt sehr ungewohnt, aber keinesfalls schlecht. Wenn ich mir den Sprung anschaue den solche Experimente in den letzten 5 Jahren gemacht haben, bin ich fast schon begeistert. Das hier ist ein ganz anderes Niveau als bisherige Produkte dieser Art. Wer auf sowas steht - also experimentelle Spirituosen usw. - kann hier kräftig nippen. Puristen und Hardliner könnten mal einen Blick riskieren, anerkennend nicken und weitergehen ;) Insbesondere die Transparenz und verfügbaren Details sprechen für's Produkt. Bin milde beeindruckt - eine Offenbarung sollte aber hier niemand erwarten.
