This is a rum consisting of molasses rum from Venuzuela and Cane Juice rum from Dom. Rep. tropically aged for 8 years in bourbon casks and then aged in Sherry casks for another year. It is bottled by the Swedish IB Ösrgöta Rom AB and is named after one of the lakes south of Linköping that connects the Kinda channel. It’s a bit special for me because during my first 8 years I grew up in the small village of Brokind whose castle and lock are located where the lake system changes its name and I went to school. It has a spicy taste with barrel character and some sweetness, muscovado sugar, marzipan, cinnamon, arrack, nuts, orange and vanilla. It's a little sweet with its 10gpl along with the impact of the PX Sherry cask aging, but that aging also gives some dryness and it's lovely for me to have considering my background and upbringing.
