Bristol Uitvlugt (Port Mourant) Port Morant Demerara Rum 1990
Highly regarded for its elegant nose and complex, dry woody-fruity profile. A classic-style Port Mourant that many find refined and satisfying despite the reduced strength.
Fans of classic Demerara and sherry-finished spirits who like dry, woody, leather-and-dark-fruit profiles at moderate strength for relaxed sipping.

Nose: totally round. Deep, pleasant spice, leathery sweet. Blackberry, cherry and raisin. Reminiscent of a brandy and port. Palate: again that full spicy-woody-dark fruity aroma. There's cherry and blackberry and anise again. This time also something like creme brulet. And a light herbal note.Finish: herbs, tea, spice, sweet, aniseSo great, bottled at more than 46% it would be a blast!
Nose: Many aromas, buttery and vanilla at the beginning. In the background fermented fruit and coffee, also wood as well as tobacco. Palate: Despite the only 46% partly sharp. Medicinal and herbal as well as bitter. In addition, an intense meaty note that surprises. The fruity notes are clearly confined to cherries. Finish: salty and intense cocoaConsummation: the long time in the cherry wood barrels leaves clear traces in the taste. Both the cherry and cocoa notes are distinct. In sum, however, not really round.
Beautiful dry woodiness. Great leather, cocoa nose. Some smoke and dried fruit on the palate. Gone very quickly on the finish due to the low %%. For less money this would be a great sipper. On the other hand, it will soon be a rum from other times, when this was the absolute top class.
