“NOSE: latex paint, neoprene, acetone. Olive oil, briny. Mirin, jasmine, minerally, savory. A dry vegetal character that evokes a desert landscape. PALATE: ripe pineapple & banana, passion fruit syrup, lime- an explosion of ripe fruits. All of the bright notes well anchored by a salted caramel & sweet oak backbone. FINISH: caramel, vanilla latte, delicate oak tannins, ripe pineapple, banana... then arrives diesel, hot road tar, neoprene & faint rubber smoke... evolving into more sweet/sour tropical fruits, passion fruit, & rotting garbage. OVERALL: balanced, complex, with a long evolution. Mineral, industrial, savory notes are a perfect counterbalance to the bright tropical fruit. The oak is well integrated, and grounds what would otherwise be a heady experience. SCORE: 90/100”
