How does this rum taste?
The Rhum Vieux Agricole from Damoiseau Distillery in Guadeloupe boasts a floral, fruity, and caramel fragrance with hints of brown sugar. Aged 15 years and bottled at 42% ABV, this rum offers floral, nutty, and spicy flavors, leading to a warm finish. While praised for its aroma and elegance, some find the taste lacks complexity, possibly due to its lower alcohol content. This agricole rum, aged in ex-bourbon barrels, delivers a pleasant experience but might benefit from a higher proof to enhance its depth.

This is not a bad rum. The scents are great, but the flavors didn’t match the scents nor my expectations. It’s distilled at the Bellevue distillery in Guadeloupe and was aged in ex-bourbon barrels before bottled in 2022 after reduction to 42%. The nose is full bodied, warm, fruity, spicy and woody with scents of nutmeg, caramel and coffee. At the palate it’s smooth, spicy, fruity and woody with flavors of vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is rather short with spicy notes.
Aucun intérêt. Pour un 15 ans décevant.
A nice nose, woody but yet elegant, it's completely lacking of complexity when sipped. A bit disappointing when comparing with other single vintage, but I think it's a matter of low ABV, would be nice to know what would have been at an higher proof
So empty
