"My son offered me a glass of this rum from the Esperance distillery in Guadeloupe that produces the Longueteau, Karukera & Papillon brands. This Longueteau Prélude is a blend of relatively young Agricole’s aged in French oak barrels formerly contained cognac. It is a "brut de fût", so it’s bottled without any reduction of the alcoholic strength. It has been released in many batches with minor differences in ABV. This one is batch 11 and at ABV 49,8%. Overall an elegant and soft Agricole that’s giving an impression of being older than it is."
