Trois Rivières Rhum Cuvée de l‘Océan
Most love its fresh cane, vegetal and salty ocean profile at a fair price. Critics find it too low in ABV, a bit soft or slightly harsh. Consensus: fun, distinctive entry agricole.
Curious drinkers wanting an approachable first agricole with a clear salty, ocean vibe, especially those mixing Daiquiris, Ti’ Punch or rum cocktails for seafood pairings.

How does this rum taste?
Salty, ocean-kissed entry agricole
If you enjoy fresh, grassy profiles and want to try the saline side of agricole without cask-strength aggression, this gives you that ocean character in a friendly, cocktail-ready format.
Those seeking high-ABV power, very sweet rums, or intensely funky, aromatic profiles; purists wanting only neat sipping complexity may be underwhelmed.

02.10.2016 - 03.10.2016 A great extended weekend with rum friends. This was a nice event and lots of space between the tables. Only problem was the level of English at some of the exhibitors. Here are the rums we tasted at the event itself, nothing truly unique but we had fun. This is the second half of the tastings. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh, Agricole, grass, floral, sugarcane, light citrus. Palate Fresh, round, pineapple, citrus, light floral, vanilla, light caramel, grass, medium dry. Finish Medium long, fresh, fruity, light caramel, medium dry.
A quite smooth Agricole Blanc with the saltiness, from the sea where the cane grows, is very present in a nice way. Got a sample of it as a birthday gift from my children together with some other bottles.
A massive weapon of seduction in a Daiquiri. Lack of watts for a Ti Punch. Shaken with shellfish, yum.
A white agricultural rum with an original profile, driven by floral, earthy, iodized and spicy notes, followed by a touch of tropical fruit and citrus. On the palate, the spices and pepper bring a certain dryness, which is offset by a slightly fatty, gourmet texture. The finish continues in the same vein, with iodine, vegetal, minty and salty notes. An inexpensive rum that stands out from the crowd.
