Trois Rivières Rhum Cuvée de l‘Océan 42%
The Rhum Cuvée de l'Océan, crafted at the Trois Rivières distillery in Martinique from fresh sugarcane juice, offers a unique tasting experience with its vegetal, citrus, and iodized notes. This rum combines a distinctive blend of floral, earthy, and spicy aromas, embodying the region's rich terroir. With an ABV of 42%, it is ideal for both sipping and mixing, notably enhancing a Daiquiri, thanks to its balanced and refreshing profile. Users praise its complex salinity and aromatic surprises but note its lack of robustness for stronger cocktails. While a budget-friendly choice, its vibrant and fresh character makes it stand out in the realm of white agricole rums.

“A quite smooth Agricole Blanc with the saltiness, from the sea where the cane grows, is very present in a nice way. Got a sample of it as a birthday gift from my children together with some other bottles.”

“02.10.2016 - 03.10.2016 A great extended weekend with rum friends. This was a nice event and lots of space between the tables. Only problem was the level of English at some of the exhibitors. Here are the rums we tasted at the event itself, nothing truly unique but we had fun. This is the second half of the tastings. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh, Agricole, grass, floral, sugarcane, light citrus. Palate Fresh, round, pineapple, citrus, light floral, vanilla, light caramel, grass, medium dry. Finish Medium long, fresh, fruity, light caramel, medium dry.”

“A white agricultural rum with an original profile, driven by floral, earthy, iodized and spicy notes, followed by a touch of tropical fruit and citrus. On the palate, the spices and pepper bring a certain dryness, which is offset by a slightly fatty, gourmet texture. The finish continues in the same vein, with iodine, vegetal, minty and salty notes. An inexpensive rum that stands out from the crowd.”
