How does this rum taste?
- Unique vegetal aroma
- Rich sugarcane taste
- Distinct character
Pearls- Études Rum, crafted at Grenada's Renegade Distillery, is a robust spirit distilled from sugarcane juice using a pot still, aged for 1 year and 8 months, and boasting an ABV of 55%. This limited release of 6000 bottles offers a bold vegetal and olive aroma, reminiscent of Clairin, with a taste profile dominated by sugarcane, green notes, and fermented olives. Users appreciate its unique character and terroir influence, though its raw and vegetal profile may not appeal to all. The rum exhibits potential in its distinct approach, yet some find its young age and alcohol integration challenging. Best suited for adventurous rum enthusiasts.

Palate Oily, medium intense, agricole, light grass, fruits, light citrus, light coconut, spice, faint wood. Finish Medium to long, warm, light roasted wood, light citrus, faint olive, light coconut, vanilla."

"The worst today. On the nose there is a very strong olive and, for me, fermented fruit. On the palate, also olive and lost fruits, very herbal and salty taste. Alcohol not well integrated."

"The first sip was already close to the limit. Very alcoholic, herbal, olive in brine and a bit of burnt plastic. It gets a little better when it gets some time in the glass. But not significantly better either."

"Nose caresses us with neat peppery spice paired with beautiful sugar cane sweetness On the palate a lot of coconut, neat oak, also much of the sugar cane Remains of the three in the finish the longest presentPreliminary conclusion. Far from perfection, the three rums are what they are. Studies, intermediate results. It is worthwhile to stay tuned and follow the distillery in its development. Great that we can experience something like this nowadays.👍"
