How does this rum taste?
Pearls- Études Rum, crafted at Grenada's Renegade Distillery, is a robust spirit distilled from sugarcane juice using a pot still, aged for 1 year and 8 months, and boasting an ABV of 55%. This limited release of 6000 bottles offers a bold vegetal and olive aroma, reminiscent of Clairin, with a taste profile dominated by sugarcane, green notes, and fermented olives. Users appreciate its unique character and terroir influence, though its raw and vegetal profile may not appeal to all. The rum exhibits potential in its distinct approach, yet some find its young age and alcohol integration challenging. Best suited for adventurous rum enthusiasts.

#4818 17.08.2024 Tasting with Mads from Romhatten. This is also a retaste that I didn't have time to add. Nose Medium intense, Agricole, light wood, faint roasted, fruits, spice, light coconut. Palate Oily, medium intense, agricole, light grass, fruits, light citrus, light coconut, spice, faint wood. Finish Medium to long, warm, light roasted wood, light citrus, faint olive, light coconut, vanilla.
Renegade again, and again I taste shrimp. This just isn't working for me :-(
Another great issue! I don't understand the low local rating at all. Gentle, fragrant, just great! For a few bucks!
Similar poor alcohol integration, as the Bacolet. In itself, the nose is quite interesting and shows potential.
