#4607 08.02.2024 Preparing for the "Nordlichter" tasting tomorrow ☺️ Nose Round, light roasted wood, fruit, faint smoke. Palate Light, spicy, light wood, roasted, fruit, light chocolate, naturally sweet. Finish Medium long, wood, faint smoke, round, light chocolate. The empty glass has vanilla and light caramel.
Haben die Fässer vertauscht? Für mich ist das kein Foursquare. Das Profil ist deutlich anders. Leichte Citrus- und Honig-Noten, die mich eher an Fiji erinnern.
It says Foursquare in the description, but this is not the usual you would expect. The color is lighter than normal Foursquare. In the nose it is also lighter, and I got notes of coconut, oak and spices
Not your usual Foursquare profile, but as far as I can read on Romdeluxe's webpage, it's also 100% pot still. It starts off poorly, very glueish and acetone and not much else, after a few minutes resting those notes are mostly gone, and it opens up with some acidity and fruit. It's not very complex and it's quite dull/watery. Easy to sip, but it doesn't offer much..
