“A rum tasted at Rum Depot in Berlin. The bottle is almost empty. A nose of yellow fruit, banana first, but also pear and mirabelle plum. In the background, nutty and woody notes. On the palate, the attack is woody and nutty, followed by fruit. A slight acidity disrupts the finish. The finish is well-balanced and fairly long, with apple and pear fruit. The empty glass is reminiscent of a distant Caroni, giving depth to the aromas. A fine rum, well-made and very pleasant at a good price. Only the slight acidity on the palate makes it lose points.”
