How does this rum taste?
Plantation Barbados 2005 is a distilled rum crafted at the West Indies distillery in Barbados, later curated by Maison Ferrand. This rum is distilled from molasses using both pot and column stills, aged for 13 years, and boasts an ABV of 42.8%. It delights with pronounced aromas of dried fruit, coconut, and a blend of woody, maple, and caramel notes. The flavor profile is richly sweet with hints of caramel, woodiness, sherry, and vanilla. While appreciated for its rounded palate and aromatic allure, some find it lighter and sweeter than their preference. This Barbados rum is reminiscent of Mount Gay XO, offering a harmonious sipping experience.

A bit sad that this one has been watered down this much. What could have been a good rum ended up very light and very sweet.
A little too thin and a little too much sugar. But otherwise a nice round harmonious rum.
Fruchtig süß mit Honig auf den ersten Blick. Im Abgang bleibt nicht viel hängen.
