8:On the nose, we notice esters first, then smoky, roasted wood and green apple, pineapple, molasses with herbaceous, flowery touch. Certainly, banana is present, yellow fruits and citrus, spices. On aeration, grassy and cereal notes arise, confectionery with honey, vanilla and nuts, other green fruits and a hint of strawberry. 7,7:On the palate, the attack is quite soft with nutty roasted wood, confectionery, perhaps cereal, esters and green apple with vegetal notes from molasses like hay and herbs. The wood becomes salty, smoky and spicy with some cinnamon, a variety of fruits reveal like plum, strawberry, grape, pineapple, citrus with lemon peel, grapefruit, some of them ripe, some not. After rest, metallic and flowery notes pop up. 7,5:The finish is a bit dry, spicy with roasted wood notes, with a pinch of smoke, hay and confectionery with honey, overripe banana and some citrus. Some marzipan shows after the rum is really oxidized...
This rum is okay, nothing more. Very fruity on the nose, especially green fruit and apple are recognizable. Fruit, fruit, fruit on the palate. Here too, mainly green apple and green fruit.
Joa nice jamaican. Just in the smell a lot of apple and yellow fruit also at the beginning in the taste. But then at the end there's a very intense and overpowering woody note that's almost a little too intense for me.
First Jamaican rum. After revisiting a little bit better. Smell: very fruity, green apples and honey Taste: fruity, overripe fruits, bit harsh, bit medicinal and some sweetnes Aftertaste: long, fruity, yellow overipe fruits and after swallowing, a long medicinal aftertaste wich in don’t like much (wich is not there as much after a few revisits) Still it’s a nice ‘summery’ rum to drink now and then.
