A light, delicate Caroni... a little too light, in fact.
Leider stark verwässert
Tasted at the Catawiki stand at the Village in Nuremberg. For the price at the stand, something you can try, but unfortunately really only a sniff of the potential of the 1996 vintage. A lot of what you would expect from a rum, but - given the dilution - of course not what you would expect from a Caroni. But still a good rum.
Un sample pris au German Rum Festival 2024. Un beau nez, ample avec des fruits tropicaux, du boisé léger et des notes gourmandes pâtissières. L’atelier mécanique est en arrière-plan. La bouche est acqueuse, diluée avec presque pas de saveurs. Je peine à repérer les marqueurs Caroni. La finale est courte avec de légères notes de pâtisseries. Pas du tout un mauvais rhum, plutôt facile à boire. Mais en aucune façon à la hauteur de ce que’on peut attendre d’un Caroni 1996.
