Excellence Rhum Diamond (Port Mourant) MPM
The "MPM" was produced in Guyana at the Diamond (Port Mourant) distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Excellence Rhum. It was distilled in 2005 from Molasses with a Double Wooden Pot Still and then aged for 11 years. The rum has an ABV of 60,1% and the mark is MPM. "This is a tasting set from 2022 where we had a lot of fun around the table. This release is a bit out of balance because the ABV is a bit too dominant even when rested. Light fruits and a nice smoky note in the profile. The floral touch to the profile is also really nice. Better ABV integration would have pushed this rum even higher."
