MPM
The "MPM" was produced in Guyana at the Diamond (Port Mourant) distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Excellence Rhum. It was distilled in 2005 from Molasses with a Double Wooden Pot Still and then aged for 11 years. The rum has an ABV of 60,1% and the mark is MPM. This is a limited release and there are only 247 bottles. 10 community members rated this rum with an average of 7.1/10. The rum smells like Floral, Tropical fruit and Smoky, and on the palate there is Smoky, Tropical fruit and Earthy.

This is a tasting set from 2022 where we had a lot of fun around the table. This release is a bit out of balance because the ABV is a bit too dominant even when rested. Light fruits and a nice smoky note in the profile. The floral touch to the profile is also really nice. Better ABV integration would have pushed this rum even higher.
Really lacks length. For a rum at 60 ABV, this is a real problem. What's more, I don't really like its bitterness and cinnamon notes.
Excellent rum, but not my pleasure taste. Alcohol poorly integrated, too present.
