It was distilled in 1997 from Molasses and then aged for 20 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 63,1% and the mark is HTR. This is a limited release and there are only 227 bottles.

“This one was a nice surprise, at least for me. A more heavy one than the others and also much better in all regards. The nose is typical Caroni, intense with all the tar, rubber and polish with a tad of menthol. In the back i find banana and cinnamon. The palate can really deliver on the nose. Again tar and rubber are there mixed with menthol. Fruitier than the nose with herbal and grassy notes. Nice and warm with pepper. The finish is forever with citrus, menthol enveloped by smoky wood.”

“This thing is really something! You rarely find a continental matured Caroni as puristic and intense as this. I've had it in the house bar for a while now and I'm glad that I still have a bottle or two in the cellar. I find it similar in taste to the Velier 12y, just with a real bang %.”
