The "Quarterdeck Single Cask Barbados" was produced in Barbados at the Foursquare distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Duncan Taylor. It was distilled in 2005 from Molasses with a Pot and Column Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 50,2%. On The Rocks: On the nose you get an initial wave of fruit with sweet brown sugar and spice. Taste has an immediate moderate burn with a strong spice and brown sugar sweetness. Finish is medium with the brown sugar and spice slowly fading away. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose mild brown sugar. Taste is very smooth with a dark brown sugar flavour. Finish is short but smooth.
