Trois Rivières Single Cask
The "Single Cask" was produced in Martinique at the Trois Rivières distillery. It was distilled in 2001 from Sugar cane juice with a Column Still and then aged for 12 years. The rum has an ABV of 47,6%. This is a limited release and there are only 288 bottles. 9 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.3/10. "A really nice release with a really good balance in the profile. Fruity with light wood and a nice floral touch."
"Al naso è legnoso, speziato, con frutti rossi maturi (susine,fragole,amarene), tabacco e una fine nota dolce. Al palato riflette tutti i sentori percepiti al naso dove dominano le spezie e i frutti lievemente acerbi, il legno passa in secondo piano. Il finale è medio e speziato (un po' troppo). Nel bicchiere vuoto legno nobile. Il voto oscilla tra 8.4 e 8.6."
"Nez assez typique, sur le bois, la canne, la vanille. La première gorgée est forte. Beaucoup d'alcool malgré les seulement 47°. Pas beaucoup de place pour le reste, si ce n'est qu'on avait au nez. C'est après une bonne aération que ce rhum se révèle ! Un agricole boisé, avec du fruit tropical (mangue?), du caramel, de la vanille. C'est beaucoup plus agréable qu'à la première bouche même s'il subsiste une légère amertume pas top en fin de bouche. Sympa."
