Wow, super tasty Foursquare nose with very high fruit content such as apple and apricot. Chocolaty, spicy, roasty on the palate, with a relatively sharp sensation despite <50%. A dominant vanilla note remains. Never had such an old Foursquare in my glass! Delicious and well-rounded rum!
Good rum overall, but nothing more. The nose is really nice, very pastry-like. And it's a little different from the classic foursquare profile. On the palate, unfortunately, it's a little more disappointing. I found it less complex, not very long on the palate.
A rum tasted online with Angus MacRaild.fairly light color.very fruity and pastry-like nose, rather sweet. On the palate, the attack is on the relative sweetness and balance of flavors. A rum with great drinkability. The finish is on spices and noble wood.the empty glass has a very pastry side.a very fine experience.
Rum Sponge - RumX-live-Tasting, und das an meinem Geburtstag, nice 😊 Nase: trotz der nur 47 % ist er schön intensiv, fruchtig, süßliche Zitrone mit Mandarine und unaufdringlicher Kokosnuss. Jetzt kommt noch eine leicht medizinische Note hinzu. Leicht Marzipan und dazu Sahnetoffee und Karamell. Am Ende deutlich rauchig. Gefällt mir gut. 8,5 Gaumen: Anders als die Nase, kaum Frucht, deutlich holzig, bitter und salzig-pfeffrig. Erst danach kommen Marzipan und Zitronenschale. Wirkt leicht speckig, medizinisch mit einem Hauch Kardamom. Leider etwas dünn zu Beginn, hinten raus kommt ihm aber das hohe Alter und die tiefe Reife mit einer schönen Aromenstabilität zu Gute. 8,1
