Hmm, I hadn't thought of Jamaica here! But it really is a weak representative. I wouldn't recommend it, not even for beginners. There are much better and even cheaper bottlings. Nose: thin, yellow fruits, robinia honey, alcohol very restrained, obviously very diluted. I have the impression that this is a diluted column still rum. Palate: again very thin, yellow fruits, slightly bitter. I can't find a clear characteristic and stick with a rum from Central America, Spanish style, probably column still. The overall impression is rather weak. This is not a rum I need a bottle of.
Very nice Column Still expression from Jamaica. Unfortunately the distillery remaind undisclosed during the tasting. Would have loved this one at a higher ABV.
Leider hat John Barret im Online Tasting die Destille nicht verraten. Eher ein trockener Jamaikaner mit deutlichen Fasseinfluss ohne besonders fruchtig oder gar high Ester zu sein. Könnte gut ein Appleton sein.
Thisni a very elegant Jamaican rum with medium vod and low funk. But it really has an nice old school vibe and profile. Really reminds me of 60s Appleton's, the lighter ones. With this the Bristol abv philosophy shines a lot. I would want to drink this again
