“Artesano hat sich auf Finishes spezialisiert und so haben wir auch hier ein schönes Fass. Der dazugehörige Wein an sich ist schon toll. Dessen Aromen finden sich hier denn auch sehr gut wieder und binden den Rum schön ein. Die 58 Prozent verstecken sich nicht machen aber Spaß. Etwas komplexer könnte es gerne sein aber an Pot still Destillation wird ja schon gearbeitet und man kann natürlich auch nicht jeden Rum 20+ Jahre im Fass reifen lassen. Schon erstaunlich wie viel man aus einem guten Fass herausholen kann.”

“El Ron del Artesano Silvester Bottling 2022 Amativo Cask Flasche auf und Nase rein. Freunde, der kann nicht verleugnen, dass er in einem Weinfaß nachreifen durfte. Direkt dominiert der Geruch eines trockenen Primitivo, aber auch die 40% Negroamaro kommen durch. Während der Primitivo charakteristisch würzig seine Noten nach Zimt, Nelken u. Schwarzem Pfeffer beisteuert, kommt von des Negroamaros Seite die Fruchtnote Kirsche und schwarze Johannisbeere. Während ich schreibe entfaltet der Rum noch seine Aromen im Glas, ich hab noch nicht probiert. Ich weiß ja nicht, wer von Euch schon mal im Fasslager einer WEINKELLEREI war. Ich schon oft, bereits als Jugendlicher schon. Denn Nachbarn von uns hatten Weinberge und ich war jedes Jahr bei der Lese dabei und anschließend auch bei der Abgabe der Reben in der Kelter. Wenn ich jetzt am Glas rieche und die Augen geschlossen habe, sehe ich genau das Bild vor mir und das Ganze liegt gute 45-50 Jahre zurück. Sehr angenehme Erinnerungen sind das und ich denke, die werden sich jetzt dann beim probieren verstärken. So, jetzt aber: erster Schluck genommen und die Weinnote bleibt erhalten, wenngleich die Stärke des Rums jetzt mächtig dazwischen drängt. Trotz der 58,4% aber nicht aufdringlich, sondern eher fordernd, seiner Bestimmung gerecht zu werden. Eine leichte Schärfe, gepaart mit einer weichen Cognacnote macht sich im Mund breit und bringt wohlige Wärme auf der Zunge. Ich muss sagen, dass ich geschmacklich heute Abend etwas eingeschränkt bin, da es Chilli-Spareribs gab. Ich hab zwar viel Wasser getrunken, aber jetzt mit dem Rum kommt nochmal das Chilli am Gaumen durch. Im Nachgang ist der Rum erstaunlich mild und hinterlässt einen sehr angenehmen milden Geschmack. Ich finde, hier kommen nochmal die Fruchtnoten des Negroamaro durch. Mein Fazit: da ist El Ron del Artesano ein ganz großer Wurf gelungen. Ich wünsche mir mehr in diese Richtung.”
