The "Jamaica 19" was produced in Jamaica at the Clarendon distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Ekte Rum. It was distilled in 1997 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 19 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 54,1%. This is a limited release and there are only 220 bottles.

“Ui, da waren meine Erwartungen zu hoch. Sicher kein schlechter Rum, aber kommt mir eher wie ein heller, kräutriger Guyana mit Bleistiftspänen vor. Bei Clarendon ist man vor Überraschungen echt nicht gefeit, es gibt positive und negative Ausreißer. Dieser Rum und ich werden leider keine Freunde - auch wenn er eine echte Rarität ist. Trotzdem ganz herzlichen Dank an Kevin für das Sample!”

“A nice release from a bygone bottler from Denmark. Intense and lightly dry with nice fruits and spice. Warm on the palate and finish. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some cinnamon.”
