"Oh dear, what a bitter disappointment! At first I thought it was a mix-up during bottling, as I found absolutely nothing of the profile of the single casks from the distillery "Paraíso", which I knew so well. But then the noble sample donor swore to me that it would actually be a sample of said distillery - and not an Islay whiskey. Because that's what I thought this spirit was. 🙈 Now, after clarification, my rum world is upside down. At least, as far as single casks from the Sancti Spíritus distillery are concerned. Where I could expect fresh green apple, all I got was smoky, peaty Islay whiffs. Bad. ☹️ Hardly drinkable for me. A total failure of a product from one of my favorite distilleries. Or rather my sensory perception? 😳😉 Curious to hear your reviews!"
"What's that? Just taste old single malt cask with old rag. Lots of peat. Rum is dead. Bottling this is cheeky... thanks to Gunnar 🤣"
