How does this rum taste?
The Tatanka Edition limitée Le Chai, from Martinique's Neisson distillery, showcases a remarkable balance of woody, vanilla, and dried fruit aromas, complemented by equally prominent flavors of wood, vanilla, and tobacco. Distilled in 2015 from fresh sugar cane juice using a column still and bottled at an intense 54.7% ABV, this cask strength rum is a testament to skilled craftsmanship despite its youthful age. An exceptionally good Agricole. The young age is not noticeable. To fall in love!
Great neisson. Balanced sweetness of cocoa and vanilla, plus fine spiciness, fresh fruit and green-grassy notes. Balanced, round, quaffable. Enthusiastic level for the young age.
Considering the age and price tag I think you get a lot for your money. A delicious and well rounded rum with lots of fruits and nice caramel. Draws amazing curtains in the glass. The empty glass is really nice and I can pick up some light nougat and chocolate notes.
