This is worlds apart and what a wowing experience. Pineapple again as the newer ones have and the 900 esters really slap you constantly in the face. A little hint of iodine and a lot of loveliness. Big improvement
Lecker, ein richtig leckerer Savanna. Hat eine richtig gute medizinische und pflanzliche Nase. Ausserdem kann man tropische Früchte erkennen. Im Gaumen kommt dann noch Ester dazu. Echt gelungen dieser Rum.
A real monster - not even a doc in a drink can compete with that, although it has more esters! An extreme mixture of fermented pineapple, some vanilla and a lot of wood, although he has never seen wood ? In the finish, strawberries / strawberry yogurt are added - simply awesome - but the bottle will probably never be empty, unless it evaporates 😂.
Ce Savanna Lontan du batch 2020 est une légère amélioration par rapport à son comparse du précédent Millésime. Le nez, très particulier, s’apparente à un mélange entre d’un côté les notes végétales et vertes sur l’olive, puis de l’autre des notes plus carnées sur la bolognaise, la sauce barbecue et le bacon fumé. Le penchant plus funky, fruité, esterisé et métallique se veut plus rond et agréable. La bouche reste aussi loufoque que le nez, avec ces notes végétales croisées avec la sauce bolognaise ou à la sauce barbecue fumée. Si les herbes, les végétaux et la terre sont dominants, il y a un côté fruité et médicinal qui s’immisce au palais. Le profil est huileux, plus rond en bouche et avec un alcool mieux intégré que le batch 2019. La finale, un peu moins marquée, est sur le même registre végétal et herbacé, avec ce goût de viande fumée qui trouble les sens. Le piment et le cuivre ressortent davantage, avec les esters en fond. Un profil assez atypique, qui nécessite un peu d’entraînement et d’aération pour être pleinement apprécié.
