By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 46,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
7,4:On the nose, there is a beeswax, tobacco, car tyre notes, some woodiness, a floral side with elderflower and a little Mediterranean with oregano and myrtle, light and refreshing-a breath of fresh air is felt, as with a help of citrus. 7,5:On the palate, we start with a peppery, delicious side with banana, all-flower honey, maracuja, toasted bread, brown sugar, a little malty side, of course caramel, a hint of tobacco, leather and a bit salty. 7,3:The finish is suave and delicious, some mint, enhanced by a nice touch of bitterness, medium, dry with woody touch...musty.Comsi comsa.
The Uitvlugt finish is very subtle and does not add any value to the rather subpar base in my opinion.
Does not pick me up... Drinkable but no highlight. Why that should be special now with ex uitvluigt barrel I do not quite understand ...
