“The first in the 8-mark series. A very chalky nose at first, followed by fruit, lots of fruit, banana, prickly pear. A racy, balanced palate with raspberry alcohol. A sharp but long finish. The empty glass brings a sweetness in addition to the fruit. A highly aromatic rum that's sure to be interesting. It's off to a great start.”

“Bei bestem Wetter alle 8 HD Marks gestern probiert und heute Abend noch mal mit Notizen re-probiert. Ein total spannendes, informatives und wertgiges Set und mit echtem Aha-Erlebnis. Wichtige Erkenntnis… einschenken und gleich probieren. Langes Lüften lässt fast alle feinen Aromen verfliegen. Aber im Einzelnen: Nase: deutlich Spülmittel mit Orange, noch grüner Mandarinenschale und Limette. Wirkt dadurch recht frisch. Interessanterweise hat er auch etwas von Kirschjoghurt. Ester sind eigentlich nicht zu vernehmen. Die Max. 80 kommen dann wohl von den immerhin 3 Tagen Fermentation. Gaumen: leicht scharf, leicht bitter, für 60% aber doch recht mild. Hat einen etwas würzigen Antritt, mir einem Hauch Kümmel oder Kardamom. Frucht ist da nur im Hintergrund, Limette mit etwas Orangeschale. Vielmehr wirkt er etwas vegatibel, mit grünen Blättern und frischem Geäst sowie mineralisch. Im Abgang wird er etwas salzig und erinnert an einen Obstler. Hamden DNA ist noch nicht wirklich zu finden. Zudem schwer zu benoten…”
