With sufficient (ie looong) time in the Glas this one develops strong notes of beacon and smoke on the nose with some distinct notes you would associate with scotch 🤔
Great combination of coffee, roastiness, smoke and a pleasant bitterness. Makes really fun!
Tootsie Rolls was an association to this rum that I read on Reddit. My first impression was totally shaped by it, although I do not know the US sweetness of chocolate and caramel at all 🤷♂️ Meanwhile, this is for me the typical Skeldon smell, although it stands out only with this so. Not least because of the higher alcohol content a great, very intense nose. Overall, the rum is extremely toasty, downright burnt. Burnt caramel on the nose, fresh roasted coffee in the mouth and an almost charred bitterness on the finish. This is a bit too much, but still a nice SWR
