Visiting Cabo Verde soon. This is part of a pre-investigation of their sugarcane juice rhum called Grogue. I tried a few (Sodade)..let's see how this is. N: A very pleasant smell. Hint of funk. Some cognac/french oak with a bit of bourbon. Creamy. Nicely layered. Aniseed. Avocat liquor. T: Gentle. Very gentle. Obviously sugarcanejuice. Honey. A bit earthy. Raisins. Could do with a bit more power. A very shy rhum. Not bad. Will try again soon.
