How does this rum taste?
Reviewers are most impressed by the dried fruit and warm wood notes that immediately remind them of Martinique agricole. Expect subtle tobacco, hints of cacao, and a touch of caramel on the finish. Many enjoy it as a contemplative sipper with friends, appreciating its earthiness and fruit-forward profile. While price is a debated point, buyers agree it's a well-made, classic Martinique rum offering a rewarding tasting experience.

By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 24,000 bottlings, 250,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 47,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.
Very interesting profile. The Martinique characteristics are there, with a fruity, ripe edge. Added to this is the alembic effect, which gives it a roasted edge. The woodiness is pleasant, but more on the cherry side. A rum that's right up my alley, except for the ridiculous price tag... Edit: the nose is warm, gourmand and charming. So is the first taste, the second taste and the finish are much spicier.
Very interesting, I'll be interested to listen to it again later.
I feel agricole delicate in taste but very expressive
ooravdu great full-bodied taste. We drank A1710 in the deatilerie straight from the cask
