How does this rum taste?
RumX members love the honeyed spice and balanced wood that make this Martinique rhum feel older than its 3 years. The nose brings woody, floral sugarcane; the palate follows with vanilla, oak, black pepper and a touch of tropical fruit. Long, suave finish and an easy 48% sip—let it rest to open up. A popular pick on RumX with 70 reviews and strong buyer confidence.

#5002 27.12.2024 Enjoying a few samples at home while watching Harry Potter Baking Competition. Nose Medium intense, light wood, light glue, fruity, cinnamon, ginger, sweet, light chocolate. Palate Light wood, sugarcane, vanilla, light chocolate, fruity, light citrus, light honey, light berries. Finish Medium to long, medium spicy, sugarcane, spice, light chocolate, light citrus, light roasted. Needs to rest to really open up! The empty glass has light coffee, faint caramel, light peach and nutts.
On the nose, the cane is still very present in this rather young rum, yet already well marked by wood. Lots of nice things: pastry, floral, woody. With a fresh, sandalwood-like scent. This is confirmed on the palate with a very smooth rum. Pleasant vanilla appears before the pepper adds a lively spiciness. A fine bottle!
Very complex, lots of flavours, you appreciate the second one even more...! To sum up, my tasting notes: Nose: Gingerbread, Honeyed On the palate: Fruity, Sugarcane, Vanilla, Blackcurrant Finish: Clove
First rum of A1710 from their own cane.it's nice but still very young.on the whole, in the nose, in the mouth, I find it too much in the spices.... And yet I like it! The cinnamon and the clove are too present, too bad... On the whole it's good despite everything but I note it severely because of the price that I find exorbitant compared to the quality of the other distilleries in Martinique.
