How does this rum taste?
This limited edition 2007 Barbados rum, crafted by Foursquare and bottled by Adelphi, offers a robust ABV of 61%. It showcases a well-rounded bouquet of caramel, coconut, and milk chocolate with subtle notes of dried fruit and wood. Users commonly praise its balanced integration of alcohol. Its taste profile includes dried fruit, vanilla, and coconut backed by a full-bodied caramelized experience. While the high alcohol content may initially feel sharp, it mellows with time, revealing more complex flavors. I find the Foursquare profile very good, but of course there is a risk that it becomes boring and that's why I try to restrain myself. Now I treated myself after a long time again a bottle. The profile very typical, no surprise. A few drops of water are necessary. Very balanced, alcohol well integrated and easy to drink. It also doesn't fall into the cheesy opulence of some sherry/port/etc. aged bottlings. Very good, only ECS 2004 and Plenipotenziario please me more.
In my opinion a beautiful Foursquare. Beautiful notes of caramel, milk chocolate and coconut on the nose. Dried fruit, caramel, vanilla and wood on the palate. Alcohol well integrated, wouldn't have guessed it at 61%. Thanks to Vienna.
Very nice and really extremely pleasing round 2007 Foursquare, great aromas of milk chocolate, coconut, caramel and above all orange peel and orange pulp. Very cool. Almost like Jaffa cakes or soft cakes only with extra orange!
#4288 07.10.2023 this was a 7 hour long event with 3 friends and it was a nice day. A really nice rum once rested for 15 minutes. Well rounded overall. Fruity with spice and roasted wood. The palate is oily and fresh with fruits and spices. The finish I'd medium to long and fruity. I picked up some chocolate in the empty glass.
