East Village Rum 2010 12yr 50,4%
The 2010 East Village Rum, distilled from molasses in the Dominican Republic and aged for 12 years, is a cask-strength release bottled at 50.4% ABV, with only 60 bottles available. Users describe its nose as featuring young wood, toffee, and vanilla. The palate offers notes of chocolate, vanilla, and spice, with a saline touch and hints of licorice. While some appreciate its traditional Dominican profile and rounded flavors, others note that its alcohol integration could be improved, with an overall lack of depth and complexity.

“Above average Spanish style rum. The alcohol is not ideally integrated and bites a little. On the palate, an interesting combination of chocolate and salt. Nice, but I personally lack the depth and creaminess.”
