How does this rum taste?
The "Guyana" rum, crafted at Port Mourant distillery in 2013, offers a vibrant expression at 57.6% ABV. Aged for 9 years, this molasses-based rum is noted for its distinctive aroma of peaches, licorice, and Demerara sugar, complemented by its young wood notes. Tasting unfolds with salty and peach flavors, laced with hints of licorice, tea, and anise. While users appreciated its robust and complex profile, emphasizing its well-integrated alcohol and accessibility, some found it straightforward without extensive complexity. As a limited release of just 295 bottles by Compagnie des Indes, it stands as a commendable example of finely executed, cask-strength rum.

Very nice daily sipper at a remarkable price tag! According to the key data and the awesome nose I’ve expected a bit more, because on the palate it seems really thin/soft… Blindly I would gave it never ever an ABV of 50+… The finish is dry and delicious, just right for a easy evening
I actually like it quite well. ABV fits, nose is nice and fruity and the palate nice and dry with the right notes. Pleasant PM.
