Very particular mouthfeel. Gentle in the first moment. Then the aroma hits!
smell of oloroso barrel with a touch of bitterness. taste is very complex, first the woody taste of the oloroso barrel which quickly fades to leave the place to the bitterness of the chocolate and then to a form of astringency. quite dry to the taste with an excellent length in mouth. alcohol very well integrated.
This is a very intense and dry rum from this bottler. Not in a bad way, but a nice change from the other rums. A fruity nose with a hint of metal and spices. The palate is semi complex but very intense with fruits, wood and a spicy warm feeling. The finish is very long and warm with spices and oak to top it off. Not the best from this bottler, but still pretty good.
