How does this rum taste?
This Hampden 1993, bottled by Valinch & Mallet, leans heavily into the ripe tropics—banana, pineapple, and papaya keep appearing across notes and comments. RumX members call out "tanta frutta e tanto equilibrio" (Giorgio Garotti) and the trademark Hampden esters, with glue and varnish signals swirling in the fruity mix. Fans celebrate its balance and long finish, while some point to its "Säureproblem" (@Mentallo) though they note it's better balanced here than in other bottlings.
