“The first impression on the nose is that of a Père Labat: pretty floral aromas, but above all fine woodiness. But then we come across candied fruit (lemon), vanilla and warm spices. Dry and ample on the palate. Peppery, vanilla-flavored, roasted and sprinkled with fresh herbs. Very fragrant, with a hint of smokiness. The finish is intense, with a deep leather/caramel profile. A very aromatic and singular profile. It intrigues with its particular smoky profile. And I really liked it. Probably the best Père Labat I've tasted to date! PS: there's the same type of bottle selected by V&B, but only 42% proof.”
