Explosive! Heavy! Funky and volatile ! Everything I want in a Jamaican rum. If you like the Clarendon profile I highly recommend seeking this rum out. I can only think of a handful of rums that I have tried that can be held to the standard of greatness. It is approachable and complex. Drinks way below it’s proof and can handle water well. It’s rare to find a rum that has so many great things going for it. Now the downside, there are only 218 bottles.
Fantastic, what a delicious rum. A thick and viscous mouth feel, so much fruit and funk. This is what a Jamaican rum should try to be. A juicy, sharp rum with tastes of dark berries and sweet roasted sugar. Complex, drinkable, and swims delightfully. Rare and wonderful.
Not super funky as far as Jamaicans go, but still nice to sip on.
