It’s ok - better than most unaged rums I’ve tried so far but for it only being 1YO all the rough edges have definitely been rounded off (good ol’ sherry casks eh?) There is a rubbery ester taste alongside some faint tropical fruits bar one - banana, overripe one at that…. Came in like a blast and then went as quickly as it came, which was weird Probably another one I’ll sink into a cocktail or maybe a mixer…. Another one I won’t be hunting after
Delicious funky raisin-y intense rum. Grand arome doesn’t dissapoint
It is an interesting rum. Surprisingly refined for one year of continental aging. Some esters and tropical fruit on the nose, esters and bicycle tyres. The mouth is similar, with the same rubber and ester heavy notes, the impact of the sherry making itself known here. Finish is short with more sugar and tropical fruit. A solid young rum
