“La forme plus intense du Braud & Quennesson classique. Les arômes floraux, d’herbes et de canne à sucre dominent au nez, accompagnés d’agrumes (citron vert notamment) et de notes poivrées. On perd l’onctuosité du premier rhum pour gagner en puissance sur cette seconde cuvée. L’attaque en bouche est aussi plus vive, épicée et moins fruitée. Le citron vert, le poivre et la canne à sucre reviennent pour donner du corps à ce profil floral, herbeux et terreux. L’alcool est plus marqué mais il reste globalement bien intégré. La longueur en bouche est moyenne, portée par les saveurs agricoles (végétales, florales), une chaleur épicée (piment) et une touche fruitée qui apporte une légère gourmandise à l’ensemble. Un rhum bien plus sec que son prédécesseur, mais qui étanchera la soif des adeptes de rhum blanc sans problème.”
