"Part of tasting session with Benjamin from Levy Lane / Tamosi. This one is very good, reminds of a Foursquare in a good way."
"Venezuela is sort of an underdog in the whisky community but the blenders/bottlers know what's up. They make a terrific unsweetened Spanish styled yet molasses based rum. This is a big flavoured single cask Venezualan rum. French oak + rum barrel aged. Heavy stuff. Nose: French (acidic) oak. Leather. Vanilla. Sour cherry's. Burnt sugar. Heavy all together Taste: Boom! Big flavours. Thick syrupy woody caramelic bitter/dry spices. Not unlike a strong armagnac or bourbon. Cinnamon. Don't get much fruit, lot's a (wood) spices though. Finish: coffee/espresso. Dark chocolate. Resin. Overall a rum that goes far towards an extreme side of the spectrum...but does it well without becoming too one sided. Strong flavours. High abv (might not help its balance). Chewable rum."
"Very long taste, but a bit one sided."
