How does this rum taste?
The "Full Proof" rum from Naga distillery in Indonesia is a highly sought-after limited release, with only 2,752 bottles available. Distilled in 2011 and aged for 11 years from molasses, this rum is bottled at cask strength with an ABV of 62.3%. It offers a complex aroma profile featuring woody, vanilla, spice, roasted, and smoky notes. On the palate, it reveals flavors of dried fruit, coffee, and dark chocolate, with subtle hints of black pepper and vanilla. While praised for its intensity and well-integrated alcohol, some users noted a somewhat limited aromatic depth.

A rum recommended to a friend by his wine merchant.A nice nose on the roasted, woody and some fruits.A different mouth from the nose with more fruits, dried fruits, vanilla.In the finish the woody/vanilla remains long in mouth with chocolate.Almost only qualities and the alcohol is very well integrated. It lacks perhaps a wider and deeper aromatic palette.
Un nez bien plus lourd que la version dilué. Un peu de vernis colle caoutchouc, amande bien présente aussi, cannelle. Boisé bien dosé en bouche. Belle découverte.
Very sweet on the nose yet not that sweet on the palate. Very woody and chocolate on the palate, with a bit of cinnamon and candied fruit Quite long woody finish with oaky and peppery hints Intense and balanced but still smooth. Alcohol is well integrated The palate could be more of a variety but still an awesome bottle.
