#4796 24.07.2024 Sampling a bit at home while watching Band of Brothers. Nose Intense, fresh, light wood, faint smoke, fruity, plum, light mint, light floral. Palate Oily, fresh, light wood, esters, light floral, faint chocolate, light roasted, medium spicy, anise, fruity, banana. Finish Long and spicy, round, balanced, light wood, light citrus, faint mint. The empty glass has some herbs, dried fruit and light banana. This rum needs to rest for a good while or the ABV will kill the more subtle notes in the profile.
Very tasty rum. Top from nose to finish. I like the lychee that comes through slowly on the palate. Very rich and great rum. wood is really still within the framework and alcohol very well integrated. In direct comparison with Rum Club and Tara clearly the most fruity
Brett! Full of flavors, power, long finish. Rotten fruits paired with some minty freshness. Geiles Teil //update: rating unchanged. Love these intense old EMBs with their symphony of fruits, wood & herbal spices. Long & meaty finish.
Mint and black tea. Very good Clarendon!
