“Relatively poorly integrated alcohol. Somewhat bitter .... Banana, pineapple and a few ester notes make themselves felt in the nose and on the palate .... but they don't make themselves comfortable. Tastes somehow-->like intended but not really "successful". Quite ok no more no less.”

“Got a sample of this rum for free from RumX. It’s a pot still distilled Hampden distilled in 1998 whereafter it’s continental aged for 23 years in an ex-Rum barrel before bottled in 255 bottles at 61,9%. Overall a great Hampden HLCF that’s complex, funky and esters rich.”

“#4187 This is not a bad Jamaica especially when looking at the price tag. A nice ester profile with lots of fruit and medium roasted wood profile. The palate is dry and warm and the finish long. Draws nice curtains and the empty glass has some polish and tar.”
